I recently reviewed the new album from Indie rock darlings, Vampire Weekend. Yes it was good. And now they have a new video to go along with a song from Contra, "Giving Up The Gun"
The music video centers on a tennis match in which a young woman faces off against, Joe Jonas; who I think Ezra made a mistake in hiring; Jake Gyllenhaal, who swigs from a flask and ultimately falls over intoxicated; Lil Jon, who acts as a coach and speaks in subtitled French; and The Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, who is dressed like a character from The Matrix and can apparently teleport. Despite the fact that an actual Jonas Brother is featured in this clip (seriously what were the boys of Vampire Weekend thinking?) it is a fun video that is definitely worth five minutes of your time. I have embedded the video below for your viewing pleasure - enjoy!
