Happy New Year!

Though I may be over a month late in this greeting, it's only now - after the beach, barbeques and Big Day Out - that I have the time and space to get back into it all, and start 2011 in a big way. My New Year's hangover has finally worn off, and I am starting to receive albums in the mail again. The music year has started, and Get Frank is going to be right there with it, the whole year through.

Now you will notice some changes to Get Frank in the coming weeks. The site will be undergoing an entirely new design, and going for a more simple, elegant and efficient design. On the music side of things, I am planning on posting much more regularly (yes I know I got pretty slack at the end of last year) and I will be introducing a number of new and ongoing features to Get Frank. A few you will be familiar with, a few you won't - but don't fear the change, embrace it!

Check out the 2011 music features below -

"In The Spotlight" - An established and well-loved column on Get Frank, that features little-known, new and independent artists that deserve more exposure. "In The Spotlight" aims to help give these artists a wider listenership, and is open to submissions from anyone. If you are a musician and want to be featured, drop me a line.

"A Rambling" - Another more established column, that sees yours truly rant and rave about the contemporary music scene. My opinions are sometimes controversial, and always hugely generalised and I welcome debate and discussion.

"Listomania" - From the mild to the wild, from the obvious to the controversial...Obsessively specific and incredibly obscure pop-culture lists. This new column on Get Frank will explore great album covers that were ruined by poor font choice, albums that should never have been made, amazing music video cameos, and the worst music by reality television stars.

"Fresh Cuts" - Get Frank sorts through the fatty and stringy meat, and presents you with songs that are tender and juicy. Only the best can make it through to "Fresh Cuts" and with mp3 downloads, music videos and track reviews - what more could you ask for?

"For The Record" - Yes I know its a clever title. A witty pun. But more than the subtle humour of this column's name, "For The Record" delivers the most important, timely, relevant (sometimes hilarious) music news to the people of Get Frank. This will be your one stop location for all info on album release dates, all-star collaborations and Kanye's latest outrage.

And that's that. Pretty exciting right? It is going to be a HUGE year. I welcome all suggestions and comments, and if you have any fantastically excellent ideas for columns, please let me know.
