It's still in the early stages but Curt Whittaker recently showed us his new competition drift machine for 2009 – a Toyota-powered Nissan Skyline R34. After breaking a number of RB25 setups, Curt has decided to repower his new drift machine with Toyota’s flagship mill, the 2JZ-GTE.

While this will be left internally standard, Curt has bought a Garrett T04Z turbocharger, which he will hang off the side, that along with a few other small modifications should bring power up to around 350kW at the wheels. While we won’t see Curt’s new car competing at the opening round of the 2009 NZ Drift Series this weekend, we will see it out testing soon, as Curt readies the car for round two of the NZ Drift Series. We'll look forward to it.

Curt's new Skyline comes with full air-conditioning, air-cooled engine and air brakes (he hasn't fitted the pedal yet!)

Ironically, the above pictures also featured in this month's "Transformer's Penthouse" magazine. ("Yeah, take off those doors, baby!!")
