Alot of people forget (and Developers it would seem as of late) that the PS3 has motion detection capabilities.
Remember the game LAIR?
In anycase, not to worry as very soon Sony are introducing us wide eyed gamers to a rather phallic looking device which will see us jaunting and frolicking about in our living rooms.
With the combination of the PS3 system and PlayStation Eye camera, all movements are precisely detected, angle, and absolute position in the 3D space of PlayStation Move motion controller, allowing users to intuitively play the game as if they themselves are within the game.
The single handed controller delivers unmatched accuracy through its advanced motion sensors, including a three-axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer, and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor, as well as a colour-changing sphere that is also tracked by camera.

Through the PlayStation Move system, both fast and subtle motion can be detected. The controller also provides direct input through action buttons and an analogue trigger, while giving physical feedback from rumble functionality and visual feedback from the sphere’s ability to display a variety of different colours. Pretty. Furthermore, the camera will capture the player’s voice or image, enabling an augmented reality experience.
Like all other Wireless Controllers for the PS3 system, it comes with a built in lithium-ion rechargeable battery utilizing Bluetooth® technology for connection.
Thirty six third party Developers are already in the throes of using this device within game play for upcoming titles while Sony themselves have twenty games up their sleeve.
Will this be the next big thing in gaming? I guess that only the motion of time will tell.
