  • Where You Go On A "First Date" Can Determine The Outcome

Last post: Denise on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Peter T on 17.08.09

Your first date should be as stress free as you can make it as you will be stressed enough just by the thought of actually going on a meeting with someone you hardly know.
You should go for the casualapproach, where you are both on an even footing. I think cash plays a detramental effect on a date.
I remember my 1st date with my now hubby of 15 years.
We lived in England on a 12 mile Island, so I suppose it was only natural we should go to the beach!
My hubby is a kiwi, and I couldn't wait to show him my cool Island, we walked hand in hand, chatting getting to know eachother, comparing England and New Zealand.
We messed about in rock pools, Davce was chasing a small shoal of fish in a larger pool. We walked up through the sandhills, the wind blowing my long hair into his face, we laughed and ran up and down the sand dunes.
Then of course the obligatory paddle in the cold Irish Sea, very refreshing! ha ha
All of this wonderful expanse of the world totally to ourselves, apart from the seagulls. So romantic, eaqualling and most of all totally FREE!!
No trying to outdo people and impress financially, just truthful, convivial conversations, with of course the odd smattering of LONG, LUCIOUS, SEXY KISSES & CUDDLES!! XXX

This worked for us, and my 3 children! Nothing in this world could compare to 'My Island In The SUN'!

My super human skill, would be to be able to draw my grown up kids as they were as babies, just to feel their baby breath on my neck, and smell their special cuddly smells. It's been 31 years since I did, but I can still remember!!! More about Heroes Season 2 DVD's

I've always had long hair, I remember when I was 13 living in England and Bazooka Joe Bubble gum was all the rage. We used to have competitions to see who could blow the biggest bubble. Oneday I blew a bloody humungus bubble, and some stupid lad poked his finger in it and popped it, and it just collapsed on my face and hair. It wouldn't come off I ended up with no eyebrows, lashes or hair around my face.
My mates had to cut about 2 inches on both sides of my face, like just on level with my ears, but not even level. I was so embarrassed, and looked a right 'dickhead', not to mention scary. I looked like I'd had a blow back from a gas ring!!!! More about Mix things up with OSiS Design Mix

I lived in England and spent about 7 years working in 2 Estate Agents. The last one I worked at, Julia worked the morning and I worked the afternoon. While the boss fished all day. He was in financial trouble, and we intended to purchase the business, so we made a buisiness plan. I had a business and financial diploma, so I got help from my ex tutors. Then we went to the 'Starting a small business Manager' at our personal Bank. After long disscussions we secured a business loan to which both Julia and I had to put 5,000 pounds of our own money into the mix.
We had to have a 3 year plan, for advertising, insurances, accountant, book keeping, general business. Billing and receiving settlement when sales went through.
We bought the business and traded for 5 wonderful years. We had several peices written about us 'Being in a Man's World & Surviving'.
Our business was built on HONESTY & no GAZUMPING which was rife in England. We had a No Sale NO FEE policy.
We were welcomed like a breath of fresh air, many of our clients bought us flowers & bottles of champagne!
My advice would be to treat people as you expect to be tret! Honesty and respectfully, keeping the client informed and up to date with all relevent information.
Use your Bank and Accountants that's what you pay them for, and above all BE YOURSELF!!!
We had to sell the business through serious illness, those were some of the happiest years of my life!!
