Re-naming the North and South Islands, why?
I have/had the same point of view as Scorpion Stinger, but you guys (namely Ashley and Graham) raise good points. What does it really matter if we change the name? If nothing else, I like completeness and so if we have gone to the trouble as a country to have double names for 75% of everything, why not finish the job?

At the end of the day, aren't we all NZers? I think it is good that we have some people in there from other ethnic backgrounds but do they need to be reserved specifically for them to the detriment of someone else who is perfect for the seat but not of that ethnicity?
