  • Hardcase and quite interesting at a time where no one really gives two ----- about religon because of all the torment and strife it actually causes in the world....His idea's about following religion in a cafeteria type way (picking and choosing the positive things instead of the bad things)was good too. Anyway you be the judge.

It is quite nice to have someone calmly address and explain his views of religion. It is inevitable that we have the fundamentalists on one side and the likes of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens on the other, both sides offending and denigrating the others view. A.J Jacobs on the other hand does not attempt to discourage or offend anyone, he merely states his own opinions. Even though he disagrees with some of the people he interacted with he recognises their strength as leaders etc.

At first I thought the guy was hard to listen too, mumbling and stumbling along, but shortly what he had to say became my focus, not how he was saying it. I ended up really enjoying it.
