    Haha that would work... at least until the boyfriend is caught by the girlfriend (who, after being ditched by her boyfriend, decides to go to the bar with her mates) or by the girlfriends friends. Or even by some random who casually mentions how good it was to see her boyfriend last night at the pub. Yup. Would work until that happened. And in that case, lying might be worse than just being at the pub. Conclusion: This could actually lead to more breakups.
