Teachers spying on students through laptop webcams

Students of this school are being spied upon by teachers. Right to privacy is gone for good?

    Interesting concept... I don't think they should be able to see the students themselves but seeing what they are doing on there computer screen could be quite handy in making sure students are on task... I know I played games in my computer classes at college.

    yyyyeah!... .uno the term BIG BROTHER right?..1984 ring a bell?.. begining of the end. ..i always point my webcam at the wall if i aint using it, if i were those students..aliddle TAPE would be applied, and if i were a parent, flamin' cihuahua's through the principles office windows!
    is this really legal?..yowser!

    Is this any different to a teacher in the class with them? Walking around and taking a look every now and then of what they are doing?

    For a teacher to have that much power to be able to spy on school children should not be allowed! Sure it might have a few small merits but it only takes one sick individual to use power like this in an inappropriate way!

      Im sure most of you could be over reacting - our IT teacher could remotely log into our computers through high school too - doing exactly what it demonstrates here.

      Absolutely no harm if you are doing what you are meant to be doing with it...

      Just like bosses putting GPS in cars - do what your meant to and you won't get into trouble.
